"The Church of St. Sebastian is the former ecclesiastical seat of the Franciscan Order in the Lahn Valley. Inline with the beliefs of the Franciscan monks, the original Gothic church is austere with a simple design and minimal ornamentation, note the minimalist capitals on the round pillars. The baroque renovation would add simple stucco forms to the ceiling along with the exquisite organ and ornamentation. However, most of the inventory and parts of the structure date from the late 19th century renovations by the Nassau family.
