Actually, there are two beautiful churches: one Catholic and one Protestant. They stand directly opposite each other. I know both from weddings I photographed there.
The Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity has one tower, while the Protestant City Church opposite has two. A bride at one of my first weddings here told me the special history of the two churches: The Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity was apparently originally Protestant (a Lutheran garrison church), and the Protestant church was apparently originally Catholic – a truly special history, almost ecumenical. This is probably why the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity is more understated, while the City Church opposite has a Baroque style.
Both certainly conjure up a beautiful atmosphere on Ludwigsburg's market square."
