What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Museum of Nature and Environment for its engaging live bee hive and detailed geological displays, making it a valuable educational experience, especially for families and those interested in local natural history. Some reviews mention that many exhibits are recreations and note inconsistent staff experiences, but overall, it's considered a worthwhile visit for its informative content.
"What a great museum! You get to learn about the geological history of the area, animals of the current and past, as well as plants. Really cool is the real bee hive they have! You can see the bees in their hive. During summer you will be able to see them working and there is even a tool to calculate how they communicate their food source to each other and find it yourself on a map. This museum is definitely worth a visit.
If you are interested in more than just one museum, they offer a day pass which will save you money when visiting several museums."

"I arrived at 4pm and the female staff at the front desk couldn’t decide if she wants to let me in or not. I told her I know the museum closes at 5pm, she eventually let me in. The amount of disbelief on her face when I answered I’m from the U.S. (a lot of these museums ask visitors where they’re from) makes me laugh. You’d think people who work in museums, schools, or any sort of educational system would be more cultured, obviously not the case here. Perhaps I would have enjoyed the museum more if the lady at front desk wasn’t so crappy."

"Mostly recreations rather than real exhibits, but still interesting and informative."
