Scenic train from Munich to Innsbruck
Hey /r/travel! I'm travelling from Munich to Innsbruck. There's of course the normal direct train, but I've heard that there is a very beautiful scenic route that takes you via Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I think it's called the Karwendelbahn. I'm pretty sure there may be a change…

"Definitely fun to go up the cable car ride. We went during Spring, so the weather was not too cold. I recommend bringing a jacket and hiking shoes if you intend to explore the peak. There was still a lot of ice on the top, so be careful. Don't bring your kids on the hikes as it's there are a lot of sharp rocks. The ride itself costs about 26.5 Euros.
I didn't try the restaurant at the top.
There's a nice sandy playground at the base camp. Worth going up if you are around the Mittenwald area."
