"We were suppose to stay one night as we were transiting but we liked it and extended to stay 3 nights.
Due to arriving late there was nobody waiting for us but owners gave us name of the hut and left keys in the door.
It was very convenient to be able to park our car just outside the hut.
Very quiet place despite of camping not being empty at all.
With nice weather there are some nice walks to do, some cycle trails and a nice lake nearby.
It is not luxurious by any means and you can tell it already had it's best times but it was clean and we got what we wanted so can't complaint:-)
Shop is a short drive from the place towards Jena centre.

The site is quiet and some distance out of town but with easy access to the city by bus or train. (A short walk -10 mins- from the site).
The pitches are basic but large, level and protected on one side by tall hedges. The sanitary areas were clean but needed a little maintenance (eg some of the shower doors didn’t close properly) but the standard was generally good. Showers are hot and free.
The overall appearance is not good, with some buildings out of use, the reception area incomplete, and the place looking a bit run down, especially if it’s raining. But don’t be put off. It’s a great place!"
