What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Museum Industriekultur Osnabrück for its unique Hasestollen mining tunnel and engaging, hands-on exhibits that appeal to all ages. The open-air industrial ruins and railway yard add to the immersive experience. Some visitors note that exhibits might be limited during renovations, but the overall value and the cafe's offerings are well-received.
"This is an Industrial Museum located near the town of Piesberg where mining was carried out. I was told that it was partly under renovation, and I had the feeling that there were only few exhibits presented for the public due to the renovation work. But it is worthwhile the visit to the 300-meter-long Hasestollen, a historic mining tunnel. The visitors can get there (30 meters down) from the shaft hall of the Haseschacht building using the elevator. On the other side of the tunnel, there are some more exhibits (open air) and the warehouse building. Also, there is a railway yard which was the former mine station."

"Going deep into the underworld, about 30m you have 300m of underground works mine and some industrial ruin. The museum is tech oriented and the cafe offers a wide and great selection of baked goods and coffee."

Oh and it has a massive tunnel leading to another museum. It must be good as it was my seven year old choice of where to take our friends... Yep it beat out everything else for my little girl !"
