Despite its length, it’s incredibly picturesque, with a wooden walkway clinging to steep moss-covered cliffs, gushing waterfalls, and the roar of the Wimbach stream below.
The entire walk through the gorge takes just 15–30 minutes, though you can extend your visit by continuing into the scenic Wimbachtal valley or hiking to the Wimbachschloss mountain inn about an hour further up.
Accessing Wimbachklamm is easy by car or public transport. If driving, you can park at the Wimbachbrücke parking lot, located just outside Ramsau. The parking fee is €6 for four hours with a guest card or €8 without one. From the lot, it’s a 10–15 minute uphill walk to the entrance.
