Visitors rave about the Winzerer Höhenweg for its beautiful panoramic views of Regensburg and the Danube, making it a perfect spot for walks and picnics. While some paths are steep, the scenery and amenities like benches and grill areas are highly appreciated. It's a great natural escape close to the city.

"A truly beautiful place for walks and short excursions. Plenty of benches and trash cans make for a very pleasant visit, and it's a quick walk from the old town. Some of the paths are steep, so you should be fit enough to enjoy the climb in a relaxed manner. Beautiful views over Regensburg are included."

B C

"Great view over many parts of Regensburg. Great walk also ideal for cycling.
However, to get up you have to be a bit fit if you want to get up on your own.
Ideally via one of the small step paths up from Nürnberger Straße, e.g. the Dreifaltigkeitsweg and then along the mountain ridge towards Winzerer Höhen.
A children's playground with tables and three grill doors with seating are available on the ridge above. Ideally, you should bring a brush for cleaning or your own pad."

DO T

"The Winzerer Höhen are not far outside of Regensburg.

Here you can enjoy a wonderful view of Regensburg on signposted forest nature trails or other hiking trails.

Here you will also find many dog lovers and the Ratisbona paragliding club."
