"This small barge provides everything you need to cross the Warnow. It can be used with a valid ticket, and bicycles can even be carried in the carriage. If the weather is good and you're in good shape, which many students should be able to manage, I would recommend the bike paths around the Warnow. It's also healthier and at least partially replaces the gym. I think a bridge over the Warnow is unnecessary. To connect the new residential areas in the Gehlsdorf area, an expansion of local public transport, i.e., an RSAG bus, could be entirely sufficient. This can be designed more flexibly and certainly doesn't cost more than the maintenance of the Warnow Bridge to Gehlsdorf. The example of the Vorpommern Bridge gives an idea of how high the costs are when it comes to renovation work on the elements above the water. These are constantly exposed to humid air, as are the piers in the water. Conclusion: It's better to have a solar-powered Warnowhopper, if batteries with sufficient power are available, than such an expensive bridge-type crossing. Furthermore, it causes considerably more disruption for the patients at the UNK during their important walks when visitors slanderously invade their private areas. And these non-Gehlsdorf residents are supposed to flock to the north bank of the Warnow River in droves to linger, justifying the bridge construction."
