What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Baumeisterhaus are mixed, with some diners praising the authentic Franconian cuisine, generous portions, and warm service, while others found the food disappointing and overpriced, labeling it a tourist trap. The restaurant's historic ambiance and regional wines are often highlighted positively.
"This restaurant is nothing but a tourist trap. The food was extremely disappointing — the meat was so dry it was almost impossible to chew, and the flavor was bland and unpleasant. Clearly, they rely on location and tourists instead of quality. Definitely not worth the money or the time. I do not recommend this place at all."
Amelia Liu
"Very good food. I had the Franconian Potato Soup and my son had the Pike Perch with Almond Butter with. reisling. We both enjoyed our food very much."
Jennifer Rau
"I was prepared for a mediocre review… however! We had an exceptional time. They close a bit earlier than some might expect, but we seated right away during the busiest time of year! Our server, young man, was exceptional! He was very responsive and polite. Had the deer ghoulash and fish, a salad, and child schnitzel, beer and Schnaps after dinner. Everything was very good! The ghoulash was on a bed of spatzle - and the gravy was delicious. No room for dessert unfortunately - they looked great though. Exceptional."
