What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Urschlau Valley for its beautiful scenery and accessible hiking trails, particularly to the Röthelmoosalm and Dandlalm pastures, where delicious local snacks like herb-flavored cheese can be enjoyed. However, the high parking fees and the presence of e-bikers on trails are noted drawbacks.
"OK"
Monika Bieniussa
"As the sign indicates, the hike begins here. The path to Röthelmoosalm and Dandlalm, where you can stop for a snack (the herb-flavored cheese at Dandlalm is a real treat), is easily reached in an hour on foot, even with children and strollers. The alpine pastures are located in the middle of a nature reserve, where grazing animals roam freely. At the starting point, there is a very large (unfortunately) paid parking lot with parking meters.
3 hours - €4
Day ticket - €7
The only drawback, in my opinion, is the large number of e-bikers, which completely contradicts the purpose of hiking. I respect the real cyclists, whom you also meet here, especially on the climbs."

"There's a small parking lot from which you can hike various routes. €9 is a very high price for a day pass! However, €4 of that can be redeemed at various cafés, museums, etc., in Ruhpolding."
