We made the trip despite the rain – and it was more than worth it. I won't reveal any details about the exhibition; you'll have to discover it for yourself. I'll just say this: The museum has been created with so much passion that you immediately sense a warm, almost homely atmosphere – yet it still has the feel of a "real" museum.
The team there is incredibly friendly and helpful – a huge compliment for that!
It's best to allow yourself about an hour and a half, so you can take in everything at your leisure. Convenient: Parking is close to the entrance – and it's free.

A gem steeped in history, filled with an enormous amount of knowledge about ships, nautical science, the navy, the German Navy, and so on. Connoisseurs and enthusiasts of this subject will be thrilled. We were impressed by the many perfectly staged and designed areas, as well as the care taken with each individual exhibit. Everything is perfectly labeled and explained superbly in two languages. The cleanliness of the entire facility, both indoors and outdoors, is also absolutely worth highlighting. We were truly amazed... a great insider tip. 🤫 Recommended not only for the knowledgeable, the uninformed, the curious, tourists, or anyone else passing by, but also for anyone who will be pursuing a career in nautical science in the future. A must-see for history buffs, older school classes, or students.
