What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tettnang Castle is praised for its beautiful Baroque interiors and well-maintained gardens, offering a glimpse into aristocratic life. However, the reliance on German-language guided tours and a strict no-photography policy are noted drawbacks for some international visitors. Despite these points, many find the experience very interesting and worthwhile for its historical and aesthetic value.
"residence seat of a local duke. medieval and was updated to baroque in 18th century. the 1 hr guided tour take you through the apartments and at then end the church and the Wine Hall. amusing and educating."

"Very interesting tour of the new palace. Our tour guide was very informative, but it is only in German. They provide you with an English guide book which helps a lot."
Malcolm Dow
"Beautiful castle, very interesting exposition. True, you can only see the castle with a guide. One big drawback is that the tour is in German, and now there are many immigrants from Ukraine in Germany. Some museums solved this problem very simply, they give out a small booklet in Russian or Ukrainian. Thus, you can get acquainted with the exposition of the museum even without knowing the German language."
