"Great for hiking"

"My old home of the Harz. And this is definitely the most beautiful tour in the Harz and runs between Thale and Treseburg. This section is also called the “Grand Canyon of the Harz”. The route is 10 kilometers long and is one of the most impressive hiking areas in the Harz. There is an altitude difference of 480 meters to overcome on the route.
It is recommended to wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots. The path is absolutely not barrier-free and is not even possible with strollers. A certain level of fitness is required as the paths are very stony and rocky. A bus goes back to Thale from Treseburg."

"It's best to take bus 557 at 10:10 from Thale to Treseburg. There's a large parking lot in Thale for €3. It's 8.6 km from Treseburg to Thale. The perfect place for lunch is the Gasthof Königsruh. It's also easy to do with children if they're up for a hike. Be sure to use the restroom beforehand. Hiking boots are recommended."
