Visitors appreciate the new footbridge access and the availability of camping and sports facilities. However, some note limited vegetarian food options and occasional cleanliness issues on the beach.
"Excellent place for recreational activities. It was nice and peaceful when we visited there on a summer Saturday afternoon. Perfect to spend time with family and friends. Number of campers with tents and camping vans, but not overcrowded. Nice ‘beach’ for children to play in water during the summers. A restaurant on-site to enjoy snacks, coffee and ice cream."

"Is a small recreational island between Mainz and Wiesbaden. You can swim and camp there. The island also has a small kiosk/cafe. There isn't much choice for vegetarians, but at least there are fries...
Unfortunately, the small sandy beach is also "equipped" with a lot of duck poop and you have to be careful where you step. You are allowed to grill there (no disposable grills!) and there are 3 table tennis tables as well as showers, toilets and swings. Unfortunately, it is currently only accessible via ferry."

"Very nice place."
