"A breathtaking place to visit in Accra!
The architecture is stunning, the atmosphere peaceful, and the view of the city is beautiful. One of the most impressive mosques in West Africa, definitely worth a visit!"

"The National Mosque of Ghana Complex is the second largest mosque in West Africa, towering above the skyline of Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Congregants observe the five daily prayers and the mosque (inclusive of the courtyard) can host a congregation of well over 3000 Muslims, a significant achievement for those who envisioned and sponsored the mosque. The Jumua prayer is regularly led by His Eminence, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubut, the National Chief Imam and Mufti of the Republic of Ghana."

"Such a lovely Mosque, Visited while in Accra, they allow Tourists in and there was a really nice female guide that spoke English to show me around. Women are expected to cover their heads and bodies- there’s a scarf provided at the gate.
The design inside the mosque was impeccable, and quite exquisite. The guide told me it took 8 years to complete and is about 40 meters long from the ceiling to the chandelier, there were Quran’s in little shelf’s in the mosque and women were only allowed upstairs, I came during an Eid celebration so there was limited places I could see.
It’s a holy place so I offered some prayers, I Loved it and would recommend it to any tourist visiting Ghana."
