Reviews Summary

Visitors describe the Valley of the Butterflies as a magical, green oasis and a unique natural spectacle, particularly for spotting Jersey Tiger Moths. While some note the moths are more camouflaged during the day, the lush flora, ancient cedar tree, and welcoming family-run atmosphere are consistently praised. The affordable entry and on-site cafe add to the positive experience, making it a highly recommended stop in Paros.

"Very nice find that was recommended to us by a local. A little green oasis that is fresh and cool. The season for the butterflies (which is actually a pretty moth) was closing but we still saw quite a few of them but you need some help to spot the first ones and then you see them in lots of places. Also lots of different trees with signs to get to know the local varieties. Peaceful and pretty."

"This is a great walk in a very unexpected place.
A guided trail within the small outcropping is beutiful! If you love trees and flowers, it's a must-see.

Every tree is marked, and the butterflies are flowing throughout. Make sure you go during the cooler parts of the day so they are active, but it's wonderful either way."

Christine

"This is not a 'Butterflies' preserve, it's a Moth preserve. There is only one species of moth here and I think they should be honest with the name and call it what it is.
It's a nice moth but as you may know moths sleep all day and 'party' all night so essentially you see the animals sleeping on some leaves and that's about it. You don't get to see them flying around.

Careful with low lying branches, they haven't been cut well. I ducked under on and got snagged on the way down."
