"Lovely park full of local plants and trees and bonus animals. It took a while to walk up the hill, but we were greeted with cold water and friendly faces.
They offer guided tours only - we didn't know this before entering and we were a bit worried, because one of our group members doesn't speak English. The tour was however amazing! We got to taste and smell herbs, flowers and plants, the guide was very considerate and gave us space to translate to our non-english speaker.
We enjoyed it very much!"

"On arrival you are greeted by one of the Volunteers. You are offered spring water and you get to taste a Prickly Pear. There is a guided tour of the site by one of the volunteers. They will tell you about the fauna and flora. You get to smell the leaves/flowers and what uses they are used for. Also on the tour you get to see a Land Turtle and also a Chameleon. Further along, there a great views of Rethymnon and the harbour. You also get to visit a cave.
A word of warning ⚠️ It is very uneven underfoot. Wear appropriate footware!
Also it is not for anyone with walking difficulties. Entrance fee is €5 and it is worth the money. Transport is required to get there. (Or a long walk)."
