What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unique beauty of Agios Pavlos Sandhills, praising its stunning golden sand dunes and crystal-clear waters. Many highlight the peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of being in an untouched natural paradise. However, the steep, hot sand dunes and lack of facilities are frequently mentioned drawbacks, requiring visitors to be well-prepared.
"One of the best beaches around the south central Crete. There is a hill to go down/climb from the parking lot but its worth it. You will find a beach almost empty (we ve been in 20 september). There are some nudist people but the beach is so big that there is plenty of space to be far away from anyone. There are some large stones on the beach and at the entrance in the water so bring your water shoes. The water is beautiful and the sand dunes look very good also. The water temperature was very good at the end of september so I would totally recommend it."

"The beach itself is kinda ok, but the underwater life is equal to zero and the sand dune that you must climb on to in manage to get out of there gets hot in the sun like 30/40c and it is kinda steep so do not come here unless your fitness level is very high and bring some normal trainers. But in photos beach looks sick"
