What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Luna offers a unique retro outdoor disco experience with a nostalgic playlist, but it's not without its drawbacks. While many praise its alternative charm and late-night energy, others point to a limited drink selection, a basic sound system, and a slow start to the party. It's a place that divides opinion but remains a distinctive part of Antiparos's nightlife.
"A disappointment overall. You pay €10 at the door, but they don’t even have basic drinks like gin, rum, or Red Bull. The sound system has a terrible echo, which ruins the music, and the atmosphere felt more depressing than enjoyable.
The only upside was the vibe — the place does have a certain alternative charm — but sadly everything else fell short."

"Be aware: unlike stated, the night club opens first after 1:30 AM and it's pretty empty of people dancing until 3 AM.
Old-school outdoor disco with a large dance floor with a disco ball. There's no DJ as far as I could tell, and the music was old - but not remixed - so it gave more of the feeling of a home party with a spotify play list than conventional night clubs. It's quite pricey to enter at 10€, but you get a free drink/beer/soda included. However, none of the drink options other than a shot of vodka were available; so be aware. We arrived as it opened, and were the only people om the dance floor. As we were heading back to port to catch the last boat back to Paros (around 3 AM) it was still pretty empty.
OK old-school disco, nothing special but not bad. Guessing it is a lot better when more people start to show up! However, not recommended if you don't stay on Antiparos for the entire night."

"DO NOT DRINK THE COCKTAILS.
unless you want some sniffy happy substance that rimes with mdmHay be put in your drinks by the club themselves. no wonder we had a great time…"

The La Luna Experience: More Than Just a Club
The venue itself is an old-school outdoor disco with a large dance floor dominated by a classic disco ball. While some find the sound system to have an echo and the ventilation lacking, others appreciate its 'alternative charm' and the freedom to dance without the pressure of a professional DJ. The energy builds throughout the night, with the most vibrant atmosphere typically occurring after 3 AM, making it a popular destination for those looking to extend their evening.
Despite its unique appeal, visitors should be aware of certain practicalities. The €10 entry fee includes a drink, but the selection is notoriously limited, with many common spirits and mixers often unavailable. Cocktails are particularly advised against by reviewers. Therefore, it's wise to manage expectations regarding beverage options and perhaps enjoy a pre-club drink in town.
Navigating La Luna: Timing and Atmosphere
The atmosphere is often described as having a relaxed, alternative charm. It's an open-air venue, which can be a plus in the warm Greek nights, but some have noted issues with ventilation. The music, a playlist of beloved hits from past decades, contributes to a less formal, more communal feel. It's a place where people come to let loose and enjoy the music without the intensity of a modern club.
For those who appreciate a more laid-back, retro party scene, La Luna is a must-visit on Antiparos. It offers a different kind of nightlife experience, one that prioritizes nostalgia and good vibes over mainstream clubbing. Just remember to plan your drinks accordingly and embrace the late-night rhythm of the island.
