"There is no fenced area with a guard, the castle is accessible but the stroll inside the ruin is quite dangerous due to the half-covered deep cistern, steep unsecured walls and slippery stones. To enter from the northeastern Venetian canon cassematte you have to climb over fallen rocks. Solid shoes are required also because snakes and scorpions."

"Built by the crusaders during the derailed 4th crusade when the trip to retake the holy land was abandoned in order to conquer the weakened by centuries of repelling Islamic raids eastern Christians.
Realizing that storming the massive fortress of Acrocorinth was nigh suicidal, Villehardouin built this small castle as a safe base for his besieging armies in order to protect his forces from sorties by the defending forces within. There are remains of lesser works of similar purpose in the fields between this castle and the fortress.
The castle is impressive, the view is wonderful and the route is quite manageable. The site is unattended so caution is necessary if one walks along the ruins."

"Not much left of it, except a few walls. Great views, especially if you're there at sunset. Only around 30 minutes from the main road. The trail can be quite tricky to follow once you get past the olive trees and the abandoned buildings. We went slightly left and ended up on a very poorly maintained path, filled up with spiky vegetation. From up top we noticed the main path was actualy to the right and indeed it was much better coming down."
