Skinaria, on the southern coast of Crete, Greece. A little out of the way but well worth the drive across the island to enjoy a quiet beach, serene shoreline, and lovely sunset.
Driving down to Skinaria was also a pretty lovely drive - and the beach is secluded and gorgeous. Well worth it :) Anyhow, I'm starting to put together my photos from a trip to Crete in late September/October with stops in Heraklion, Agia Pelagia, Rethymno and the surrounding…

"Very nice experience!
They organize the blu cave tour and the shipwreck tour every day from 9am to 5 pm.
The blu cave it’s always available and it’s an experience of 1 hour-45min and it costs 15€.
Depending on the weather conditions the organize also the shipwreck tour by adding only 10€, so together you pay 25€. But the last departure for the shipwreck it before 3pm.
Each experience has a swimming stop.
The first time we went we weren’t so lucky so the shipwreck wasn’t available due to strong wind so we paid only for the blu cave tour and the lady was so nice to give us her number for checking the weather conditions each day and we came back showing our payment receipt of the first day so we paid only the remaining 10 euros. The ship for the shipwreck tour it’s bigger and when you stop for swimming you can jump from the top! They bring you very close to the shipwreck for photos and then stop to a close bay for swimming.
While in the cave the ship it’s smaller so they bring you inside them, depending on the day you can do the experience in very few people."

"Wonderful place to visit. If you are by car, you can park your car nearby.
I went here early in the morning to avoid the crowds. It worked. I was the only person there.
You can walk down the stairs and make wonderful photos of the cape, the sea an, if you are lucky you can also photograph the next island.
Don't forget to visit the little ruin nearby, with the beautiful nature surrounding it.
All in all a visite worth your time."
