What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fteri Beach is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty, with stunning turquoise waters and dramatic white cliffs, often hailed as one of Kefalonia's most beautiful spots. Visitors appreciate its secluded feel and the rewarding hike to reach it. However, some find the beach less pristine than expected due to debris, and the challenging hike requires careful preparation and proper footwear.
"Fteri beach 🏖️ is beautiful place for sunbathing🔆 and swimming 🥽 with it's white rocks 🪨 and clean blue 💙 water 🌊 for you to dive in. It's reachable by foot 👣 it takes 37 minutes to get there from the parking area. Be aware that the path is actually more like hiking 🥾 and you would need to have proper shoes (at least trainers 👟) no slippers / flip flops 👡🩴due to it's nature. For lazy /senior people it's also reachable by water taxis for 20€ Fare 💸 I would recommend this beach."

"This beach is absolutely breathtaking. After Myrtos Beach, it’s the second-best beach on the island – for me personally, the best, because there are very few people here. That’s probably because it’s a 30–60 minute walk, depending on how fit you are or where you park. We didn’t want to drive the gravel road with the rental car – that would have saved about 10 minutes. I still don’t understand why some people hike down in flip-flops. The path is rocky, gravelly, and a bit steep. So please!!
The beach stretches along the coast, and if you climb over some rocks, you’ll reach an even bigger beach. The parking is free. There is no bar, no trash bins, and no toilets on the beach.
Definitely worth an excursion."

"Possibly the most beautiful beach we have ever visited. Literally stunning. However . . . MUST READ The beach is a 40 minute difficult hike, 1.8km with 200m elevation from the car park. We did it in flip flops, but it was tricky and dangerous at times. I would highly recommend trainers and a lot of water - there is nowhere to buy water or refill bottles. This is very "off the beaten track". To get on the right track, walk diagonally down and out of the car park, to the left as you come in to the car park, not straight on. The path is quite easy to see most of the time as it is well walked. Someone has also kindly sprayed some rocks and trees with green paint that you can follow. So keep your eyes peeled for the green spray! The most beautiful beach then awaits you."
