"Beach itself had shade for the first half of the day which was handy because there is absolutely nothing else for shade. No toilets. Shore had enough depth for a swim and it had sand for added comfort. Nice views of Paros. Well protected from the northern winds currently smashing Naxos chora. 30min+ drive. Busses apparently do run there but I went by taxi. A short stroll through dry sandy shrub-land from the road. The trail going down to the beach won’t suit people with knee problems or larger frames. I enjoyed the beach but nearby Alyko beach in my opinion was better (max 200m walk) had stunning views of nearby mountains and the little church perched on the point. Dreamy. Water felt calmer there. Definitely worth visiting too as well as the abandoned hotel with graffiti. There’s also a great little food truck on the road for lunch and icecream which hit the spot. All within easy walking distance. A nice little daytrip itinerary for any solo travellers. Felt safe and wasn’t too crowded."
