"Best beach in Crete! As most beaches, you have to walk to get there. Not crowded and there is a natural shade."
Vasil Blagoev
"Beautiful beach!! Long sandy beach with big rocks that you can hide from the sun. The color is baby blue and not as crowded as the other beaches. Theres a 15 minute walk down but its not that bad and free parking."
Antonija Sahin
"Kedrodasos Beach is on the remote side — about an hour and fifty minutes from Chania — but worth the effort. For the first time, we had natural shade right on the beach from cedar trees instead of the usual rental parasols. It gives the whole place a different, almost wild feel.
It’s clearly loved by locals and adventurous tourists. We saw tents set up, even solar panels, so some people are camping here for real. There’s a large, flat parking area at the top, perfectly fine. Still, for some reason people insist on driving their cars closer to the path, bouncing over sharp rocks and uneven ground — all to save 100 meters. Why? Beats me. :)
The walk down is manageable, though you do need steady footing. Greeks, of course, were mastering it in flip-flops and Crocs without a second thought. Right next to the main parking you’ll also find a café with cold drinks and snacks, but down on the beach it’s all pure nature.
The reward is stunning: crystal-clear blue waters that people always dream of finding. We even spotted a patch of the famous pink sand, about a meter wide. Bring water and some snacks, claim a shady spot under the cedar trees with their unique scent, and you’ll happily spend the whole day here."
