"Excellent site. I spent three winters living in a Mycenaean burial chamber in Mikinis so it feels like home to me. This is a very good site and worth seeing. Many tombs"

"Well....it was closed. It would have been really helpful if the googlemps information had been updated to reflect this as driving across the Corinth bridge and back in our planned visit cost us 30 euros! There are other reasons to visit Patras, we went to the archeological museum, but had we known this site was closed we may have postponed until another visit....in effect for us thid was 50 Euros to visit one museum - the museum is fab BTW...incidentally l did know about the wildfire affe ting the site and had checked the website a few weeks ago to see if it was still open and at that point it was saying the site was still open but with reduced access due to some damage....ho hum..."

"Very nice place to visit. Everything is well maintained and the garden is very beautiful.
Ticket is cheap at only 3€ per person. Just bring some water with you, especially on hot days, because you will need it since the whole experience is like a big hike. The view is incredible also."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Key tips for families: Ensure children wear comfortable walking shoes as the terrain can be uneven. Bring plenty of water, especially during warmer months, as there are limited facilities on-site. The site's layout is relatively straightforward, but keeping an eye on younger children is advisable due to the open nature of the tombs and the hilly terrain. Consider combining the visit with the Archaeological Museum of Patras for a more comprehensive experience that might hold younger attention spans better.
🚶 Budget Travelers
To maximize savings, pack your own water and snacks, as on-site options might be limited or more expensive. Consider visiting during off-peak hours to potentially avoid any minor charges for specific services, though the base entry is already very economical. Combining this visit with the Archaeological Museum of Patras, which also has a modest entrance fee, offers great value for a day of cultural exploration.
