What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lourdas Beach is appreciated for its beautiful sunsets and convenient beachfront dining options, offering a more relaxed atmosphere than some of Kefalonia's busier beaches. However, some visitors note that the beach is pebbly with a steep entry and can be narrow, with a concrete parking lane impacting its natural feel. It's considered a decent option, especially for those staying nearby, though other beaches on the island are often preferred for their beauty and accessibility.
"This beach is a hidden gem while touring Kefalonia. The long narrow shore features umbrella service. The street is lined with cafes."
Kathryn Essig
"The storm of sept 2025 took most of the sand. In 2023 it was deep golden sand and now it's lapping at the sun beds."
MARTIN C
"I personally don't like it how they prepare it.
The beach itself outside is a pebbles beach inside is quite a nice sand but the entry is quite steep.
Also the beach is narrow comparing with the majority of beaches also because they make a parking concrete lane across the length of beach.
I personally prefer the one near Skala that are quite family friendly.
One more point the beach is quite windy so not so easy to chill here."
