What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nafplio is widely praised for its stunning beauty, rich history, and charming old town. Visitors love the picturesque streets, the impressive Palamidi Fortress, and the overall romantic atmosphere. Some find the bus station in Athens less than ideal, and the climb to Palamidi can be strenuous, but these are minor points in an otherwise highly recommended destination.
"Shame, the bus station in Athens Kifisos KTEL it's not the same. They are very helpful in Naflion and clean, but the other end destination is disgusting. Full of beggars and thieves."
Vicky
"It’s small but very well organized! There are lockers if you need to wait for your bus after checking out, clean toilet, polite and helpful stuff. And yes! It’s located in the heart of the old town."
Desislava El Hakim
"Well organized KTEL bus station. Easy to buy tickets, the man at the window speaks good English for non-Greek customers. He knows the routes well and will explain where you can and cannot get to from Nafplion via direct lines. Very much right on time/schedule. Lockers are available to store items, one can ship cargo on the bus, there is an indoor waiting area with a vending machine. Benches out front for waiting too. The only reason it is not five stars is that one has to pay to use the WC."
