Visitors rave about the spectacular panoramic views from Margariti Castle, calling it a must-visit for its historical ruins and free admission. While the uphill walk can be challenging, the rewarding vistas and the opportunity to explore ancient Venetian architecture make it a highly recommended experience. "Very interesting place to wander for an hour or two. Some impressive remains and, aside from some areas taped off for safety, pretty much allowed to explore everywhere.
Would be good to see some info plaques around, but wiki will give you the history of the place. I didn’t visit the shop or museum so can’t comment on either"

"Everytime I walk into an old church, castle or big ruin I start thinking ”how the heck did they build this hundreds years back in time. The same question now.
This is an old ruin that was built to protect Parga from invasion. From land and see. There are a lot of dark rooms and passages all over. A nice view to both side of Parga and the see. In the middle of the ruin you can find a restaurant. Didn’t try that today.
Interested hour spent there."
