What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Freattyda Beach is appreciated for its quiet, less crowded atmosphere and beautiful clear blue water, offering a peaceful escape near Athens. While the stony terrain and rocks in the water can be a drawback for some, many find it a worthwhile, accessible, and budget-friendly option for a relaxing seaside experience. The proximity to the marina also adds a unique visual element.
"Not bad for a city beach right by a marina and harbour. It's stony and there are large rocks in the water, which makes walking difficult, but once you are deep enough to swim, it's not a problem. I didn't find it to be dirty, and there was ample space to spread a towel out without being on top of other people. It's only 5 minutes walk from my Airbnb, and I didn't come to Athens to sunbathe, so really this little beach is a bonus."

"I think it’s dangerous because it’s too close to the port if you’re visiting just go a bit further for the better ones"
David Sharvit
"Quiet easily accessible from the main road and tram stations. Offers a few shacks for rent but a lot people just carry thier own towels and rugs to lay down. It has less sand and more stones. You can also find a few surfers in action as well. It has a great view, warm crowd and some very friendly dogs. You can visit if you like a good view, quiet surroundings and non-mainstream locations."
