Reviews Summary

Piraeus Metro Station is praised for its historical charm and crucial connectivity to Athens and the airport. However, many visitors are frustrated by the lack of essential amenities like functioning elevators and public restrooms, alongside a general absence of Wi-Fi, impacting accessibility and comfort.

"Very convenient to reach Syntagma and the airport directly using the underground BUT is it acceptable not to have a single operating elevator in Piraeus to reach the platforms? We had such a hard time trying to get downstairs with my daughter's stroller and my husband having to use crutches plus luggage.. unacceptable 😔 Also there was no airconditioning.."

"A very nice looking HSAP train station with a lot of history behind it. As its very old! I'd argue its one of the best looking HSAP stations!"

"Absolutely disgusting. Not a single public toilet anywhere! And it’s not just this spot—try finding one anywhere in Athens. Even if you’re lucky enough to spot one, just wait until you see the condition it’s in! What’s wrong with this place? This is one of the world’s most famous tourist cities, flooded every day with visitors—and still, the city can’t build and maintain a few clean toilets? Even a paid one, for one miserable Euro, would be ESSENTIAL! I genuinely wish the people running this city, especially the Mayor, would experience exactly what we did—desperate, searching, and utterly humiliated. It’s a disgrace. Pure shame on Athens city hall!! This is what government neglect really looks like. And please! Do not tell me, there is no money for that!!! I tell you, there is money, it is just not a business... It takes money but do not earn anything... Well, not short term. They just blind to see it!!! Shame on Athens government!!! 😔"
