Skala or Lassi for First Time Visitors and Non Drivers?
Skala is lovely, but without your own transport travelling the island will be tricky. Lassi/Argostoli would be better for you I would say, though Lassi doesn't have the nice streets, Argostoli does. I wasn't aware you could do a day trip to Corfu!

"Very interesting to see this Roman villa from over 2000 years ago. 6 rooms to see so only a quick visit required. Sign said open at 8.30 but at 9am there was no sign of anyone so I had to go back later. Right in Skala so worth a quick trip. It's closed on Wednesday and shuts around 3.30. Entry was €5."
