What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Vrasidas Peninsula is praised for its beautiful, clean sandy beach and clear, shallow waters, making it a picturesque cove destination. However, the challenging 3km dirt road access is a significant drawback for many, with some visitors regretting the difficult drive despite the beach's natural charm. Arriving early is crucial for securing parking and beach space.
"We loved this beach! The only downside for us was the dirt road leading there.
It’s not organized, so you have to bring your own umbrella and chairs. The sand is very nice and the water is beautiful."
Andreea Paniti
"Nice small beach in the cove, there is 3km dirt road and it takes around 10-12 min. drive from the end of the asphalt road to the beach. There is still nearby parking and beach space if you arrive before 10 a.m., after that becomes crowded. It is not a problem but if you are making effort to come it would be a downside to be forced to turn back... there is a small bar overlooking the beach, water is clear and shallow, small waves, rental boats arrive for visit often, in general worth the visit."

"The beach itself is a very nice place to go to. Very clean water, nice sandy beach and it's not too crowded. But - the only thing that I really disliked is the road that leads to it. Nearly 3 kilometers of dirt road, so narrow and in such a bad shape that I honestly almost regretted going to it. I told my family we'll be never going to it again - as there are so many nice beaches nearby that this one is just worth one visit and that's it."

The Vrasidas Peninsula Road Challenge
For those planning a visit, an SUV or a vehicle with higher ground clearance is generally recommended. If you're driving a regular car, proceed slowly and carefully, assessing the road conditions as you go. The effort, however, is often deemed worthwhile by those who reach the beach, finding it to be a hidden gem.
Key takeaway: Assess your vehicle's capabilities and consider the weather conditions before attempting the drive. Arriving early can also mitigate some stress by allowing you to find parking and assess the road without the pressure of a crowded beach.
Embracing the Unorganized Beach Experience
This lack of organization is precisely what appeals to many, offering a more secluded and authentic beach experience. Packing essentials like umbrellas, chairs, towels, and a cooler with food and drinks is crucial. While a small bar overlooks the beach for basic refreshments, it's wise to bring ample supplies, especially water, to stay hydrated.
Despite the need for self-preparedness, the reward is a beautiful, clean beach with clear, shallow waters. The natural setting, free from commercialization, allows visitors to truly relax and enjoy the pristine environment. It's a place where you can set up your own little haven and soak in the tranquility.
