What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the magnificent panoramic views from Vrokastro, calling the hike rewarding despite its challenging and poorly signposted nature. The natural beauty and historical remnants offer a unique experience for those willing to explore.
"Pretty cool views up there. A bit of a scramble to get to the top.
It's a nice hike to get there."
Igor Flakiewicz
"I highly recommend this route, it is very accessible, has a very comfortable road, and from the height some magnificent panoramas open up to all the bays of Istron and to Agios Nikolaos. The road up the hill takes about an hour from the road next to Istron Bay, and back about 35 minutes. On the way to the site I recommend you also visit the church of St. Fanourios, built in 1939. So much peace and quiet there! ❤️🇬🇷"

"I don't know if I reached the foot of the ancient settlement of Brokastro, but we had a nice walk in nature 😉🙂..Unfortunately, there are no signposts, and I don't think the Google location (directions) are accurate....If you decide to visit the site, set aside at least 3 hours...and make sure it's before dusk, because there is a risk of getting lost in the dark (like us, it's a good thing that phones have a flashlight 🙄😉)"
