Reviews Summary
Nuuk is praised for its unique Arctic charm and newfound accessibility via direct flights. Visitors appreciate the cultural insights at Katuak and the novelty of Greenland's only shopping mall. However, some find the cost of living and dining to be high, and the lack of amenities like free Wi-Fi at the mall is noted.
"“Nuuk”, Greenlandic for ‘Cape’ is located at the end of the Nuup Kangerlua Fjord on the eastern shore of the Labrador Sea (64º 11’ N / 51º 44’ W). On the third day of Quark Expeditions’ "Northwest Passage: The Legendary Arctic Sea Route," we arrived in Nuuk on the Ultramarine, and disembarked to explore the area on August 29, 2025. While en route to Nuuk (from Inussuit Tasersuat, Greenland) we saw red-throated loon, great and lesser black-backed gull, raven, snow bunting, and common redpoll. While on land we visited the Museum of Nuuk and the Katuaq Cultural Center."

"The size of this shopping mall remind me an average shopping mall in any town in my country. At the same time, it's exciting to visit the only shopping mall in Greenland.
The shopping center offers groceries, café and some small shops on the ground floor, and some other small shops on the 1st floor, including e.g. Anori Art souvenir shop. If you have time, walk though the center and see if you find something interesting."
Jana Krištanová
"The shopping part of the Nuuk Center is not that big and overall ot has a dozen stores, but it is the only place like this in the capital so ot is great to visit and experience it."
