Reviews Summary
Hikers rave about the spectacular panoramic views from Quassussuaq, calling it a must-do near Nuuk. The accessibility and moderate difficulty are praised, though some note the trails aren't always well-marked. Be prepared for unpredictable weather and bring sturdy footwear.
"We did a half loop here. The hike had great views and was relatively easy with a few steep parts. We started by the satellites and just followed the blue marker on the trail. We ended our hike at the reservoir."

"Great hike right outside of Nuuk. You can follow the ski lift up and make your own path from there. It's around an hour to the top if you're very fast, but I also spent a lot of time taking photos. Beautiful view from the top and of Qallussuaq if you hike another fifteen minutes, provided it's not very cloudy/foggy."
Fynn Buesnel
"Quassussuaq, also known as Lille Malene (little Malene), is a small peak but with a great view of Paradisdalen, Sermitsiaq Cirkussøen and other peaks and valleys, depending on the location you view from. The peak can be reached from multiple angles, by the ski lift near the airport, from Paradise Valley, or from anywhere you would like. We hiked from the north-west part of the street Asiarpak, which is off-road with no indicators. I used Google Maps to navigate. If you take the same path as we did, lean towards the area with the lake rather than the airport side. It has a better view than the other side, and it is easier to get to the top. The best path might depend on the season. We visited in the beginning of May, where there is still snow in some locations but not in others. I.e some or no snow in Nuuk City center, but as my photos suggest, there can be a lot of snow in this area.
I have added some photos of both the peak, but also the hike towards it. While Google Maps suggests that there is no path were we walked it is not an issue at all. We took more than 4 hours going up there and back. I am not in good shape at all and we took lots of photos along the way.
I highly recommend it and I will definitely visit again."
