Reviews Summary
Grooms Beach is praised for its natural beauty, seclusion, and excellent snorkeling opportunities, making it a favorite among locals. However, visitors should be prepared for a lack of amenities, challenging access due to construction, and potential limitations at high tide.
"Love this beach! A really nice family beach that are mostly visited by the locals, alot of times you can be all alone.
Nice snorkling amongst fish and reefs just outside.
A little bit hard to find now when alot of building projects are ongoing around. A real shame that the bar no longer are up and running."

"A lovely beach which is surprisingly secluded considering it being in the south and close to St George. There was quite a bit of building work happening when I visited. That mostly impacts getting there and there was some noise from building work. Plenty of shade available on the beach and it was great for snorkeling. Parking a short walk away but a reasonably steep walk down a slope/concrete steps. The bar nearby is worth stopping at"

"Avoid at high tide! No amenities.
See the steepness of the beach in the photo. There was a private property with a rope boundary such that the public beach area was very limited at higher tide.
There are no businesses or amenities here. The La Luna resort next to the North has signs posted “no entry. Guests only.” They have a day pass, but they do not want people walking in from the public beach.
One of our kids got scratched up on some sharp rock/reef.
Locals regard this as a dog beach. I heard there might be good snorkeling... if the water was flatter.
Of all the beaches I’ve visited in Grenada, this was the only one I do not want to return to."

Exploring Grooms Beach: A Local's Perspective
Snorkeling is a major draw here, with reefs and fish visible just offshore, making it a fantastic spot for underwater exploration. However, the experience can be impacted by water conditions; calmer seas are ideal for optimal visibility. Be aware that the beach can be quite steep, and at high tide, the usable sandy area can become very limited. Some visitors have also noted sharp rocks or reefs, so caution is advised, especially for families with young children.
