What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking panoramic views at Cetti Bay Overlook, especially during sunset. The accessible overlook is a highlight, though some find the nearby Cetti 7 hike challenging due to its rugged terrain and water features. The trail can feel a bit run-down and overgrown in parts.
"This hike (Cetti 7) was awesome. It's a short loop, but due to the descent and ascent it is slow going.
Assume 20 - 40 minutes going down for a decent sized group, based upon people's comfort going down loose terrain. The trail isn't particularly marked for this, or any, portion as it just would get washed away. But there are clear pathways toward the end of the descent into the creek area.
Once you get to the creek (approximately .3 miles in) you have the creek to guide you. Walk upstream, climbing waterfalls as you go. Eventually a small side stream connects onto the open creek area (after about .5 miles and 7-11 waterfalls) and you take that left and make a final ascent up to the main road where you can then walk back to the parking area.
This is a phenomenal hike, but there are mentally taxing/intimidating portions so you have to be up for an adventure if you go. It is definitely achievable, but you have to be fully committed and not let fear hold you back.
Note: Waterfall "1" has a side trail, but waterfall "2" requires climbing up using the rope. The most difficult part is being brave enough to step into the water while climbing the rope, though physically very achievable."

"It's getting overgrown and feels kinda run down.
The nearby trail to Mount Lam Lam is unmaintained and challenging. Hiking shoes, gloves, and, in places, rope would be good to have. If it rains, the trail has a lot of clay, so it becomes incredibly slick."
