Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Asan Bay Overlook for its breathtaking panoramic views and profound historical significance. The site is commended for its accessibility and the humbling experience of reflecting on the sacrifices made during WWII. Some find the sheer number of names on the memorial walls deeply moving.

"I visited here in 2008 so it might look a bit different in 2025. I was on Guam for a week for a civilian job at the military bases. Very good view of beach that was a significant part of battle for Guam in 1944. I visited the beach area and posted photos of actual landing site along with photo of beach 1944. There is the Top o' the Mar Restaurant nearby so stop by for a meal."

"A short drive up the mountain to an overlook that gives you a good visual depiction of the Allied forces invasion to liberate Guam. Signs provide good historical information, with multiple vantage points to see the layout of what happened 80 years ago. There are inscriptions of those, military & civilian, killed in Guam during the war, inscriptions of those imprisoned, and those forced into labor & concentration camps. The longest wall is the names of people on Guam imprisoned. It is sadly and amazingly long.

Ample parking with parking for handicapped people. The entire area is paved so folks in wheelchairs can easily maneuver around.

Highly recommend for a quick visit."
