Zona 3 Minerva Terminal is a vibrant hub, but can be chaotic. Be prepared for crowds and a lively market atmosphere. Trust bus drivers for directions over locals, as they know the routes best. Keep your wits about you for potential scammers and thieves.

Market Bargaining

The market here offers a vast array of goods, but prices are often higher than in central markets. Haggling is expected, and vendors can be stubborn. If you prefer fixed prices or less negotiation, consider markets closer to the central park.

Reviews Summary

Zona 3 Minerva Terminal is a chaotic but essential hub for travel and commerce in Guatemala. Visitors appreciate the vast array of buses connecting to numerous destinations and the vibrant, extensive market. However, the terminal can be dirty, overwhelming, and requires constant vigilance against scammers and aggressive bargaining.

"I highly recommended to visit, you will be found any bus to go any were in Guatemala, very fancy busses so nice rhe colors and styles!"

Noah Chavez

"I've seen some of the negative reviews about this place and I want to disagree. I loved this place. It is really hectic and certain areas aren't so clean, but the market is huge with much price competition for everything. The people (who pays them?) are very helpful in guiding you to the right bus. Buses go everywhere and the action never stops."

Joseph Jacobs

"You can find most everything at the market here, but the prices will start at least double what they offer at the market near central park. Democracia market is similar start prices as here. If you don't feel like negotiating so much, this isn't the right market for you. Maybe they don't try to rip off locals as much here. But for gringos, the market near Central Park is much better prices without any negotiating if you don't mind a Q1-5 difference. But at this market and Democracia, you can spend Q10-20 extra if you don't negotiate (even then, they seem more stubborn here).

The busses are all over the place, don't trust the locals to tell you where to catch your bus. They kept telling me to go to some mall parking lot across the street and farther up for the bus to San Marcos. 4 different locals and even a security guard told me to wait there for San Marcos, even when I asked are they sure it's not at the terminal. I walked back to the terminal and found some chicken busses closer to Walmart and asked a driver and finally got pointed in the right direction and on the right bus in under a minute. Don't trust the locals for directions to your bus here, trust the bus drivers."
