Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Cheung Sha Beach for its beautiful, long stretches of white sand and relatively calm waters, making it a great escape from the city. The relaxed atmosphere and beachfront dining options are also highlights. However, some find the journey a bit inconvenient, and amenities can be basic.

"The cheung sha beach is really great to come with family and friends. It's super beautiful to have the ocean and mountain view at the same time.

Some down side are that there's not a ton of spots with shade. It could get crowded during the weekends or holidays. The changing rooms also have a lot of mosquitoes but it's been this way since forever. I got bit twice during the first 5 minutes inside.

Coming here on a weekday is perfect when there's less people. The showers and changing rooms are kept really clean."

"Very nice beach with unique combination of natural beauties and presence of civilization in same time.

I love view from the beach, animals which freely gathering and resting where they want to, and few little river streams any actually few other things. The connection with the next beach via a little path throughout forest with nice pavilion is amazing.

The restaurants and shops are of primitive sortiment and mostly in very simple style - lacking creativity/originalit, but many individuals will be OK with the options and arrangements they offer.

The beach has public toilets (+showers) and easy access to the nearby road with bus stops. Upon my visit in April 2025 it was pretty clean and peaceful. Not sure how it works for camping but the sea view is towards South so during hotter months it won't be probably very pleasant camping location (but depends on current weather etc.)"

"accessible short trip beach if you live in the tung chung area. the spot is a surf space and you'd see shops where you can rent long boards, SUPs and kayaks and more. there is enough restos (and coffee) but you can also bring food picnic style.

public bathroom also was clean and accessible. there's just a lot of animal poop around so be sure to pick a spot."
