"Tried Moropain recently and wanted to share my experience. Their egg tart is definitely the star item. Crispy crust with a smooth, rich custard that’s perfectly balanced in sweetness.
If you can only pick one thing to try, go for the egg tart without hesitation. It’s easily one of the best items on their menu.
On the other hand, the hyped tiramisu melon pan was a bit of a letdown. It’s essentially a coffee-flavoured melon pan with a piece of custard inside, but there’s no real trace of what makes tiramisu special…no kahlua aroma, no mascarpone creaminess, and none of the layered depth you’d expect. It’s okay as a coffee melon pan, but it doesn’t live up to its name.
Overall, Moropain is worth visiting, but the egg tart is the clear winner."

The napoleon egg tart is by far the best I’ve had in HK. I’ve had one of those everyday plus a different savory and sweet as well. My top three would have to be the egg tart, matcha melon bun, and the European sausage with potato salad baguette. Everything is light and fluffy, not too sweet, not too dense. All the pastries pair well with their iced americano.
10/10 would come again next time I’m back to HK"
