Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Lamma Island's relaxed atmosphere, beautiful coastal scenery, and delicious seafood. The island provides a welcome escape from the urban hustle of Hong Kong.
"Ling Kok shan
It is accessible from So Ku Wan Ferry Point of Lamma Island by hiking.
From the SKW ferry point walk 50 M , there is a public toilet from there turn left and walk along the coastline until another Public toilet and turn right to an upward slope to reach Ling Kok Shan.
The slope is a never ending slope of rocky steps of about 1200 steps. It will be good for physically healthy person to climb the full length to reach the top of the peak at 250 M. Roughly the time taken for me was three hours.
The sceneries of the coastline and the horizon of the ocean and HK were pleasant and worthy of the effort to walk up. The boulders were beautiful and interesting.

"A 4 stars 2 hours walk from Mo Tat Wan, except for the 1000 steps up, the trail is really amazing with lots of beautiful rocks up on the top. Suggested to walk in the late morning so it's a perfect time to have a rewarding Seafood lunch at Sok Ku Wan."

"The walk offered wonderful ocean and island views on a 250 meter high point in Sok Kwu Wan, the southern section of Lamma Island. I began the trail at the Tin Hau Temple in Sok Kwu Wan and looped back to the pier area via a rather wild and unkempt path. I therefore did not go around to Mo Tat Wan. The way back to the Sok Kwu Wan Pier is somewhat obscure on the northern end of the open area of the helipad next to the Lok Kok Shan Transmission Station. The scenery is quite special because there are many oddly-shaped rocks on Ling Kok Shan's terrain."
