Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the invigorating experience of 'morning trails,' highlighting the stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and the benefit of avoiding crowds and heat. Some minor drawbacks include occasional trail closures or the need for preparedness in less developed areas.
"One of the best routes to ascend to the top of The Peak in Hong Kong. Showcasing some gorgeous views across the harbour on the way up the climb really is worth it. Best go early before it gets too hot as, whilst the ascent is well paved and maintained, the humidity and heat in the peak hours of sunlight make the journey much more challenging! Plenty of public loos along the route and rest stops too. Take the longer circuit once you reach the choice at the top. The rewards are well worth the extra few minutes! Taxis and buses will get you up to the starting point of the trail but the popular route starts off in town by taking the central/ mid town escalators up through the city and making your way up from there. It is much more fun!"

"First time hiking here, and it was a great experience! The weather was nice, and the trail was well-maintained. You can reach the Mt. High West Peak viewpoint in just about 2 km, and if you continue, you’ll get to the peak trail with clear views of Victoria Harbour and Pok Fu Lam Reservoir. Perfect for beginners—an easy and enjoyable hike!"

"not only in the morning... it's very nice when it is dark in the evening. And don't worry about the wild boar 😄"
