Visitors appreciate the intricate design and the scale of the site, though some note maintenance issues like non-operational elevators and the presence of monkeys. It's often visited by mistake, so clear navigation is advised.

"2025 August 4★
A cemetery up in the mountains. Many levels, escalators and elevators available. Different sections. Beautifully designed.
Would be great if they could make a slide going down. This would make traveling down easier."

"Like other tourists, I came here by mistake thinking it was the entrance to the temple of the 10,000 Bhuddas. It is in fact a typical Chinese cemetery where locals go to visit their defunct relatives. The cemetery is really large and built along the sides of the hill. It is really well looked after and you have escalators to reach the summit, along which you can see monkeys.
If your intention is to see the temple instead, my advice is to look well at the maps in advance and to avoid following the stream of local people on a Sunday, who are going to see their dead relatives. The entrance to the temple starts with golden statues of Buddha from the very entrance rather than the white gate shown in the following pictures."

"When my family started visiting here in 2013, it was very well maintained. But now days, it has been getting worse where the elevators became out of service, nothing done to prevent wild monkeys from entering the premises and hurting people, lastly lost or no license to burn incense or packs for the dead which are very important for Chinese customs when visiting the dead of close ones."
