What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Soeng Shiu offers a unique and high-quality fusion dining experience with a focus on meticulous teppanyaki preparation. While many praise the innovative flavors and intimate ambiance, some find the pricing steep and the service can be abrupt during busy periods, particularly around closing time.
"Reminds me so much of censu at its prime days.
Excellent and interesting flavours.
Favourites were the xiaoxing wine red prawn and lobster tamago. Also really liked the sauce for hamachi. The “cheeseburger” came in a spring roll and was really well named.
Only tried one of their sake - the off menu sparkling sake. A tad sweet for me but generally quite good."

"Shocking behaviour from the staff to just slam the cheque on the table of our 6 person birthday dinner party when it was near closing time and we had not even asked for the bill yet. To add insult to injury, they even put the cheque next to the birthday girl while she was taking photos! Food was overpriced for what it is and very cramped. I'd avoid this unless it's a Typhoon 8 and they're the only source of food you can find. The best dish was the sashimi which requires minimal cooking as far as I am concerned."

"Birthday candle was specifically requested upon reservation for bday celebration but it eventually didn’t come with the dessert… (until further requested). Staff also tried to take our dishes away while we are still working on it. Food was nice tho"
