What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Tai Long Wan's beaches, often calling it the prettiest spot in Hong Kong. The surfing conditions are a major draw, with many praising it as the best in the city. However, the challenging transport, especially on weekends, and limited facilities are common points of concern.
"It was a real pleasure to visit Ham Tin Wan Beach, and also Tai Long Wan Beach recently. My first time here was 28 years ago. This part of the world is still very precious, and I was very happy to see the beach was very clean, except for the few plastic bottles that had washed down from China in the recent storms.
The restaurants are open to serve you hot Asian delights and cold beer. Very clean toilets and a shower too.
I doubt there are many beaches as beautiful and untouched as the ones in Sai Kung Country Park. And a speedboat out after a decent hike, in the 36°C heat!"

"Beautiful bay on the east side of the Sai Kung East Country Park for boating and beach activities. Boat rides or hikes from the Sai Wan Pavilion (2.2 km) or by way of the MacLehose Trail Stage 2 (6.6 km from the trailhead)."
Brad
"Nice easy hike with great views.
Word of warning, the public toilets are not the best maintained. Might not be the norm."
