Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently impressed by the sheer scale and uniqueness of the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, with the climb up the statue-lined path being a memorable highlight. While the physical exertion is noted, the spiritual atmosphere and panoramic views are highly praised. Some find the monkey presence a bit daunting, but overall, it's considered a must-visit for its distinctive Buddhist artistry and serene environment.

"A short but sloping hike up a pathway lined with the 1000 golden status of monks takes you to a beautiful, peaceful temple with a grand vista of the city and the smell of incense all around. It was a very pleasant experience visiting this monastery and temple and was one of the quieter moments in our tour of Hong Kong.

Note that they close at 5pm. So, plan ahead."

"What an incredible experience from start to finish. To begin with i reccommend visiting first thing in the morning as soon as the temple is open. Otherwise it might get busy. The trail is quit steep but not too long. The sights on the top as well as the view will make every step worth it. Once you reach the top there is a right and left trail for different sights. Every sight is unique and very asthetically pleasing with its details but the main temple and the pagoda are truly impressive. There is also a nice souvenir shop with fairly reasonable prices. For reference 1-2 hours would be enough to explore thos sight depending on your fitness level (e.g rest at the top after the trails)"

"Amazing place to visit biggest Buddha I've ever seen and in a great place. Lots of shops too. When we went the cable car wasn't working but there is a bus that takes you there and brings you back too ( just make sure you have cash in think it was 40 HK Dollars for people) if you can make your own way do go through an excursion as apart from the bus and train it's pretty much free.....😍"
