What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Karakas Pasa Tornya as a charming, peaceful addition to Budapest, offering lovely views of the Buda side and a well-kept garden. While some find the cafe service lacking and note accessibility issues with the tower itself, it's generally seen as a worthwhile stop for its unique atmosphere and historical significance.
"I saw that this tower and garden had opened on We Love Budapest and other articles/publications online, so went to visit straight away. The garden is really tiny but exceptionally well kept (well, it's new after all!): there are many benches, a small Turkish-styled fountain, young trees which hopefully will provide shade soon!, fig trees and at the very end the tower. There you can find a cafe with seatings inside as well as outside, a clean and well maintained toilet (free to access and use) and an information desk with staff where you can also get some leaflets and purchase Turkish inspired books and gadgets/souvenirs. Overall, it is a lovely addition to the surrounding renovated and rebuilt buildings, so definitely worth passing by when having a walk around, but not a place to come on purpose for."
