Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Károlyi Garden for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful greenery, making it a lovely escape from the city's hustle. It's particularly appreciated as a family-friendly spot with playgrounds and a charming rabbit statue. While it's a hidden gem, some might find it less grand than other Budapest attractions.

"Just absolutely lovely. Tucked away within the city center. Beautifully maintained and serene. Perfect place to sit on the grass and read (as I did for several hours)"

Sami Pathan

"Sadly you can‘t step on the grass areas. The amount of banks you can sit on makes up for it though. Nice, calm and green park, perfect for sitting down, reading a book or taking a snack."

L

"We came across this small, but very beautiful park located away from the noise of the city. The garden is located to the east of the Hungarian Literature Museum and is surrounded by mature trees, which provided shade during the warmer summer months. There are four separate playground areas, several small statues, water fountain, which was closed for the winter (we were there in November), numerous park benches, flower beds and several grass areas. One statue in particular, is that of Karoly the rabbit, which was an abandoned pet that ended up being adopted by the neighborhoods around the garden. You must read the plaque to fully understand how special this rabbit was to this garden. There is also a restroom area, but I cannot remember if it is free or not. So, if you are in the neighborhood stop in for a visit and take a moment to enjoy, a quiet, well-maintained garden area and escape the noise of the city, even for a minute or two."
